This is how I envisage it would be done:

Below is the image that is generated from the Network program (at the bottom of the page is the code the program to produce the image). Note that when the code shows "Equivalent taxa", the circles are larger on the image.

Is it possible to generate a spatially-constructed image from the code below through ASP - or possibly via another scripting language e.g. ActionScript? Fom my limited experience of ASP, it would be hard to calculate the xy coordinates, position the circles so that they don't overlap, and also draw lines between them.

The closest I have seen to asp drawing is in http://www.asppdf.com/manual_04.html - although there may well be more capabale components out there.
